Young men and traffic accidents (completed)

A significantly higher number of men than women are severely injured and killed in traffic-related accidents every year. Young men in particular are identified as a highrisk group. This research project addresses the subject from a gender perspective.

About the project

The study is based on fieldwork conducted at Sunnaas Hospital where young men who were injured in traffic-related accidents receive rehabilitation. Of particular focus are men’s perspectives on driving and risk-taking, their bodies and everyday life with disabilities, the rehabilitationprocess and methods of coping after the accident.
