Gender Equality Research Network (completed)

The Gender Equality Research Network at the Centre works with gender equality issues related to important dimensions like work and family, health and quality of life, power and democratization, and victimization and violence.


  • National and international cooperation. The group participates in the cross-faculty democracy program (”Democracy as idea and practice”) at the University of Oslo, and organized a panel at the program’s first conference (2010) and a workshop at the second conference (2011).

  • The group has connections to the prioritized research areas at the university including social and cultural sciences, law, medicine, biology and others. The group’s researchers cooperate with other researchers and networks in these and other areas.

  • The group’s main internatinal contacts are international, European and Nordic research groups and networks working with gender equality research, gender studies including studies of men and masculinities, and other themes.
