The network for research on masculinities will be a meeting place for researchers, doctoral students and master's students who employ theoretical perspectives relating to masculinity studies, and/or work on questions related to the life situations of men and boys. Helene Aarseth (STK), Knut Oftung (LDO) and Hanne Sogn (NIH) are the founders of the network.
The members of the network will meet two times per term. Future meetings will focus on topics including masculinities and the climate, involuntarily single men and the incel movement, and working class masculinities.
In the longer term, the network also plans to organize open seminars on topics relating to men and masculinities. Suggestions for topics for future events, whether closed meetings or open seminars, are very welcome.
